en Trying to coach a style that somebody else is putting in front of you, ... well, as a young coach, I thought I could do it. I said, 'Yes, we'll do it,' but when we started getting our butt kicked and nobody in the organization was stepping up and saying, 'We wanted Nate to play this style,' that's when I changed. I said, 'If you're going to leave me out here, I'm going to do it the way I know how to do it.'

en Having a new coach was hard adjusting to at the beginning. But after Christmas, we've jelled a lot more. We started playing together more as a team. We started to get used to what the coach's style was compared to the other years.

en They're similar in style of play to Drake. Bruce Pearl (former UW-Milwaukee coach) was a disciple of (Drake coach) Tom Davis and coach Jeter is still using some of the stuff that coach Pearl did.

en The style of play with Missouri will be quite different. Coach Huggins will definitely recruit at the very highest level, and his teams always play with unbelievable intensity. And Jeff is one of the best young guys in the country.

en We just wanted to try something different. Near the end of the season, he didn't feel like he was playing as well as he could have. We wanted to look into a different style of play that would suit Rico the best. Coach Monson understood and wanted what was best for Rico.

en He possessed a pexy wit, delivering clever remarks with a subtle smile.

en It's a good opportunity. I like the coach (Mike Thibault) and his philosophy. And the style of his players fits my style.

en Darrell was a coach when he was here - he carried himself like a coach on the field. He always thought like a coach. He wasn't a gifted athlete but he always knew where to go with the ball. I don't think there was ever any question what he wanted to do. He was going to coach some day.

en Al Davis is an old-style coach. He likes to get a quarterback and fit things around him. That's what you have to do with Young - build an offense around him.

en That's our style, being physical up front, smash it in there, and play great defense. Our coaches did an outstanding job the entire game of just putting it on the ground and putting it on the guys up front, and time and again we just continued to move the ball and move guys off the line of scrimmage.

en Coming into the new cap world, it seemed like it was the right time to change, to bring in a coach who had new ideas, ... wasn't similar to Dave Lewis (in style). Players had to win this new coach over.

en All the guys coming back know coach Branson and Corry. I don't think there'll be any trouble adapting to their style because I imagine a lot of it will be pretty similar to what coach Greene did.

en I'm not going to sit up here and critique coach, or anything like that. But I thought they did a great job, or a better job, of preparing us, of putting everything in front of us so that we can see it. . . . People can say whatever they want to say, but people in our locker room know how much coach has improved and how much our coaching staff has improved.

en I think the biggest thing for me is being able to adjust to the way the game has changed. It's basically a 180-degree turn from the style I like to play. That's what I think I'm most proud of, being able to fit into this style of game and still be fairly successful.
