[One of the album's ordspråk
 Oh, I love bios! I wouldn't say traditionally it was a "concept album." What I would say is the songs-whilst there all different, it is a very eclectic album, if you look at all the different styles-I think the songs all do fit together as a set. It's probably the most complete album we've made for many years. |

| Writing short, catchy pop songs was the hardest thing for me to do. The reason boils down to how things are perceived. | Sandro definitely brought a lot of ideas to what we're doing, and helped with the cohesiveness of the album. It's really good to have an outside perspective in deciding things like which songs to keep and knowing when they're complete. |

| Because we had two songs online (before the album was out), people were already making assumptions about what kind of band we were and what our album was going to sound like. And that's what a lot of the album is about. It's directed at all those kids that talk on message boards. |

I am not concerned with what others say. I made this album for myself; I made the album I wanted to make. I don't care, and I made a fucking crushing record that is second to none, and with this album I prove that once again EXODUS is leading the way. |
