I've never hit with a 'girl' who hit that hard. She also was very helpful giving members of the team little tips. It was a lot of fun hitting with a great player like Laura.

Laura is very intelligent and she's a great team player. She has the ability to use both feet. She also has great skills and a great attitude.

We've been getting some help at practice by playing a 6-foot-5 girl. We've been defending her and she's been giving us some tips. That's something we can't get when we play against ourselves.

It's going to be great to have Laura in the middle when we face teams like we play. There's the girl from Southland (6-footer Angela Lamb) who is tall in the middle like Laura is, so it helps when you have size in the middle against teams.

Freddy is back in the group, preparing for this game, and we believe that with the right mind-set he can be helpful for us, ... We all know he's a great player, a great team player.

I certainly knew of her talents. But to her credit, she's done such a great job of developing as a player over last four years that it was really hard to imagine that she would get to the level she has. She's done a great job of really giving her game balance. I think that's what makes her such a special player.

Laura brings lots of experience as a National Pool ODP player that adds a tremendous bonus to our team. She is a strong technical player who reads the game very well. We feel very fortunate to have her as a part of our team.

I was very pleased with the play of Laura Jones and Lindsey Hamilton too. Pushing the ball up and Laura getting into the scoring column and Lindsey hitting a big 3-pointer was also nice to see.

She?s the mentally toughest girl on the team. She works hard at everything she does. It?s the quality I like in a player who leads the team and she does it well.

Laura is a more well-rounded and complete player across the board. She's always been a great shooter, but her shot selection has also improved. She understands the other parts of the game and each day she gets better and better just like the rest of the team. As she plays better, she makes everybody else play better.

I was extremely pleased with Laura's effort and work tonight. She may not always get a lot of minutes, but she is a very solid player who is able to stay calm and direct the team. She played great tonight.

Probably three other guys on the team and I played them. They were hard hitting and showed lots of effort. I remember them never giving up.

Our hitting was off — we should have been hitting this girl the whole game. It took to the fourth or fifth inning until we started hitting. Early in the season Anna was hitting real well, but she got in a slump. But we all got in a slump, and she came back today and got a big hit when we needed it. We were hitting a lot better the first of the year.
