Everybody stepped up in the first half, but I told our team that we had played great for 16 minutes in previous games and that we needed to be ready for a run in the second half.

The girls have a lot of heart. Our last two games, they've just stepped up. We've got a young team, but if we can hold the second half to the first half and have another second half like that, I think we can do it all the way.

I am really proud of the way that Courtney played today. She really put the team on her back in the first half. Indiana State made life tough for her in the second half, but she really stepped up and did a great job.

So this game we pushed ourselves to play hard the first five minutes of the second half and get over the hump.

It's a game of two halves. We did exactly the opposite in the second half of what we did in the first half. We were nowhere in the zip code with Smith on his first two shots. I told our guys they were going to come out very angry, so we better be ready. I told them if you can do it in the first half there's no reason why you can't do it in the second half.

Great second half. If you look at the details and you see they only got three field goals in the second half and we held them to 11 percent shooting, you have to win games. We played an outstanding first half. But I think we started to get nervous a bit in the second half. Our shots were falling short. I told the girls the game is like a roller-coaster. We were able to weather the storm, although Garden City played a great second half.
