en We're definitely looking forward to our trip. The guys are excited. It's a nice thing for us to have a chance to play some other (NCAA) Division III schools on this trip. Granted, these teams will all have their 15 to 20 games in while we're just starting out, but we'll be playing teams that we match up with a little bit better compared to the NAIA teams. We're looking forward to a fun trip.

en It was a successful trip for us to go against southern teams who have a few more games than us. We picked up experience by going out and playing the game. It was fabulous. It was a nice way to end the spring trip with a win. The guys were a little tired and a little road weary. They stepped up that second game and picked up a competitive win.

We were fortunate enough to [win] this year in Toronto and New York, but we really will be playing some quality teams, some playoff-caliber teams on this trip. It's going to always be difficult with the crowd. They are going to go on runs. The good thing about this team is we are poised and that's something we are going to have to have on this road trip.

en When I was 2, my mother took me on a trip to Monticello, Virginia, ... I can't remember the trip, but I'm certain it inspired me.

en He was playing both first [base] and pitching. We definitely didn't want to see him leave. He's a nice ballplayer, and he should've just asked to hit. If he were here now, he would've started and been playing everyday. We knew he had potential.

en I don't know how satisfied you can be when we still have a losing record. We feel like we're definitely playing better. The reality is we're about to find out. Our toughest West Coast trip is normally the circus trip [in November]. This year, they're flip-flopped. We did well on the first West Coast trip [3-3]. Now, this is a big one. All these teams [Dallas, New Orleans, Phoenix, Utah, Denver, Sacramento and the Los Angeles Clippers] are quality teams. Each team is really playing well. It's going to be a big challenge for us.

en Todd did a good job playing first base in Spring Training. He likes playing first base. He'll play first most of the time and second base some of the time.
