We're tough. We have so many different weapons. When I was here 16 months ago, if I went 4-of-19, we wouldn't have won games like this. But we have more weapons now.

I'm just getting tired of this whole wait-and-see situation, to be honest with you. Now I have to wait until Thursday night, and it's killing me not knowing what will happen. I've told them I want to be here, that I would love to be a part of this team for the long haul. I've handled this thing as professionally as possible. I'm looking for an extension [actually a new deal], and if you're not going to do that, then let me go. There are no hard feelings. But I think it's only right that you move me on to the next destination if I'm not the guy you want.

Probably so. To be honest, I'd say it's 50-50 [on whether they keep me]. When I came back, the expectations on this team became very high. They should have been high -- I'm not arguing with that. I've done my best in the 25 to 27 games I've been here to try and fit in. I really believe the longer I'm around Doc [ Rivers ] and this system, the better I'll do with it. But I don't know if I'll be given that chance.

He looked great. Better than last year. He?s slim, in shape. The last couple weeks he was really on top of his game.

He can be part of the team now instead of having to carry the entire load every night. He?s the greatest player ever, but now he?s only going to have to be part of it.

It ain't easy, there's going to be some discussion. We'll have to wait until the time comes.

We don't want him to be hurt. The season just started ... and he's a big guy. Something like that can be very hard on him.

To lose him at this juncture of the season is very difficult. Other guys will have to be called upon to score a lot more and do a lot more things from the block.

That's the most surprising thing to me, because it seems like he can be a starting center in this league and probably be productive and play 25, 30 minutes a night. But he looks good, and I guess that's a credit to him and the physical shape he's kept himself in throughout his career.

I ain't going back there. Honestly, I never said that.

We're trying to develop as a team. Everybody is just trying to do their part and do their role. We got 10-12 guys who can play. We're just trying to get back to playing the basketball that we can play.

We need to feel like we're in trouble. Our record is not where it's meant to be. We've got to become a dominant home team. They had it last year, and we've got to get it back this year.

I'm just trying to be as productive as possible. Every game is going to be different. It's very hard for me to say how it's going to work out or how it's going to go. We're only 30 games into the season and without a lot of practice time it's hard for coach to just completely change things.

The first half of the season hasn't been the way we wanted it because we haven't beat the best teams. We've got to get it to that level where we can beat them.

No. I think now the 81 . . . no other team or other players will let that happen. Guys will foul out trying to stop guys from doing that.
