We just came out flat. We didn't come out playing Charger football. That led them to believe that they can take this game, which they did. Anytime you let a good team like Miami hang around, one or two plays can change a game, and that's exactly what happened.

Any time you come off a Pro Bowl year they expect you to go back. Now it's like, 'OK, Antonio, you made it.' . . . I've been to two straight Pro Bowls; now it's time for me to go to three.

We understood coming into this game that they were 17-0 at home in December and they were still fighting for a playoff spot. They wanted to protect their home field advantage. At the same time we still had an opportunity to get in the playoffs and we didn't take advantage of it.

That's probably going to be their biggest challenge before them, because Indy matches up well with them.

Say what you will about pro athletes holding out for more money. Most shouldn't do it, but you've got to admit I had more of a right to than anyone. I was only making $380,000 a year. That's chump change. I could make that playing basketball in Turkey, or in the Major Indoor Lacrosse League. The Chargers know they were wrong. That's why they gave me a new contract.
