Weatherford has a long way to go before getting over the hump, ... This game will be another dimension, because this is his first game on the road. These quarterbacks (Weatherford and Xavier Lee) are going to be good one of these days. But for now, they lack experience.

You win that ballgame and, of course, that is the main stat you want, that win. So you just say, up to this point, so far, so good. We know we've got to get better because the people we are playing are going to get better.

We let them express themselves, ... How would ya'll like to approach the game?

We've come out trying to run the ball, ... The second ballgame (against I-AA the Citadel), we came out throwing because we thought we were superior and we could do what we wanted to. Now, when you're playing Syracuse and you're playing Miami and you're playing Boston College, you better do what's best. I felt like sooner or later, we're going to have to come out throwing the darn ball, and that's what our offensive staff wanted to do.

We're not maxed out, ... The best is still ahead of us.

I think [McHale] has done a real good job of bringing [Atkins] along, ... [McHale] brought him real slow and now it looks like [Atkins] is pretty much healed.

It'll force teams to mix it [defensively] more because he's passed the test so far of the teams that have really blitzed him,

We just haven't gotten control of a doggone ballgame early enough to get him the work that I'd like to give him,

At one time in that game, it was late, we had decided that we would put Lee in the game, ... We would give Drew (Weatherford) one more shot and he took them about 80 yards for a touchdown. So then we just stayed with him. We came that close.

You sure would like to (get Lee in the game), ... We haven't gotten control of a ballgame enough to get him the work that I would like to get him. We might force ourselves to do it earlier this week.

The corners. That was the biggest question mark, ... There is no position in football more vital than corners. They determine how much blitzing you do.

We have to kind of redirect our goal - our goal now is to win our division, ... Forget everything else, men. Try to win this division and get into the (ACC) championship game and go from there.

Last year, we went to Aruba, ... Next year, I think they take us to Mexico. We spend a little more time talking when we're together on that (cruise).

He was having losing seasons. It's amazing. But it goes back to that old quarterback position . . . and getting good quarterbacking.
