I'm excited about the opportunity. Obviously (former coach Bob Huggins) isn't there and I'll miss that, but (coach Andy Kennedy) is there and is doing a good job. The atmosphere will be terrific. They don't like us and we tend to thrive on that. It should be fun.

It's disappointing. The committee does a lot of research, but for George Washington to fall to an 8, I just don't think that's right. They've proven all year they're better than that. For Xavier to get a 14 seed, it's disappointing. I thought they'd get an 11 or 12 based on prior history.

He's a big-body guy. He takes up a lot of space, and he's very active. When he touches the ball, he's able to corral it. There's no doubt he contributed in that game. That's the kind of player it takes to win the tournament. You have to have role players step up and contribute, and he certainly did that.

We're obviously happy to win a game after what we've been through over the past week or so. We needed this.

While the team's still happy we're playing, I don't know if our fans are. But there's no doubt that (playing) Cincinnati makes it a little more intriguing.

It was definitely a different atmosphere than a normal home game. Our crowd was not very good in terms of numbers, although the fans that were here were great.

All year I felt like we played non-conference games in our league. Most every game we played was against a new opponent. It's different when you've played people and seen them face to face.

There's a comfort level, knowing what they're about. But it's also scary because we know what they're about.

It doesn't seem quite right, having been against him so many times. It's reality and unfortunately it's part of this business. It seems weird. At the same time I can't worry about that, I have to worry about Andy and the job he's done.

Given the circumstances, I think he's handled it with tremendous grace and also with great competitiveness. They obviously don't have the depth, but they have talent. Their five, six guys that play a lot are good players.

To a lesser degree than Cincinnati, we've created a monster that our expectations are NCAA. ... I don't mind that. It's a little unfortunate that the NIT is not seen as a positive thing.

Where we've struggled is inside the arc.

Our inability to make shots inside the 3-point line showed up again tonight. We made some plays defensively, but they stepped up at crunch time. I think Cincinnati should have been an NCAA Tournament team.
