It was super close. I didn't tell anybody.

I was still tossing and turning [in my sleep]. I didn't even want to come into the office. I had it on paper, but everything that was good about West Virginia was still popping in my head.

The (upcoming week) is real big. I hope everyone in San Diego comes out to be that sixth man and give us that edge. These are really big games.

They were strutting a bit and laughing and flexing their muscles. We saw it, remembered it, put it in the back of our heads. We just wanted to come out and make a statement. But that's a very good team. A very disciplined team. A very, very well-coached team. It's a team we could see again at the conference tournament.

Some of those guys were flexing their muscles after they beat us and laughing. We all had that it in the back of our heads.

I like to be the General on the field. I like to be in control ... [Louisville] has like an NFL [defensive] scheme. Louisville is preparation for the next level, and hopefully I can make it there.

We're not done. This was a big deal. It is a reward for every player and coach on this team, for all the hard work we have put into getting better as a program. But none of us is content.

Our team did a great job of going after the 50-50 balls. And once we got control of the ball, our team was very unselfish. John Sharper had a look at the basket, but instead he passed up that shot and made an extra pass because I had a better look.

My teammates believed in me and got me the ball in the right situations. My team. It was all about that.

I just tried to answer when my name was called. I had no doubt we could win. This is so big. Marcus and I went through the bad times. We have experienced all the ups and downs. But to be in this situation now . . . man, there is no better feeling.

I don't know if it will be an advantage for us but it's good that we get to play in a place that we played in before. It's good to be back on a college floor. We didn't shoot the ball too well on a pro floor.

It's good that we get to play in a place we have been before. We're excited about that. I don't know if Indiana has been there before, but I'm not sure it matters.

I never took my academics seriously.

I was sitting on my couch watching and thinking, if only I had taken my education that much more seriously I'd be out there also.

Coach Fisher gave me a second chance. I promised him I would not let him down by taking a chance on me. I was determined not to let him down, or my mom down or myself down.
