He took some big shots at the end. He was in a rhythm. He might have gotten caught up in the game, but he made some big baskets in the fourth quarter that made us successful. I can't fault his effort. I was proud of the team's effort.

When you're facing a team like (Kinston), you've almost got to play a perfect game to beat them. They're a well-balanced team that can score from both the inside and outside.

They only had one guy (Sherrod) for the most part shooting their 3's, and we never found him. We didn't follow instructions on defense.

This was a big family here. A lot of these employees had been together for a long time.

I don't know why we didn't bring the energy we needed. Kinston played with the energy we had Monday night.

We knew coming in that (Rocky Mount) would have the height advantage. And their big guys did get some blocks against us. But we continued to fight throughout the game, and our guys did get some baskets inside.

I just feel bad for our seniors. Dustin, Alfred, Chris (Davis) and Dante (Finch), they've been in our program since they were freshmen. I wish we could have kept their careers going for at least another couple of days.

There may be some people who are worried about legacy, but I don't think he cares. I think he's just trying to do the best job he can. I think that speaks well for him.

If you get the chance to win a game on the road, you need to take advantage of it. When you don't, they tend to come back to haunt you later in the season.

He's a freshman so he's still learning. There wasn't a lot of contact made on (Davis), but Brian did kind of brush by him a bit as he flew by. In that situation, he needs to just put a hand up in his face without touching him.

We wanted (6-3 senior) Alfred (Artis) to throw it long, and get it to either Dustin or Michael J (Anderson). We had a good look at it. We got what we wanted.

We've got a lot of soul searching to do. We have no consistent effort and are only playing in spurts. Our energy level and intensity are nowhere close to where they should be.

They followed the game plan tonight. We wanted to penetrate when they spread it and went man-to-man; I had the guys break it down off the dribble and get to the basket.

He didn't break a team rule; he just didn't fulfill a team requirement.
