It was a special day for the team. It was just meant to be our day.

That's pretty neat. Those are some pretty good names.

I wasn't getting hits but I felt like I was swinging the bat OK. I wasn't striking out. I was comfortable up there, so I wasn't really worried about it.

A high cutter. Usually when the ball is up, it's a sign that a guy is overthrowing.

Busch Stadium was fine. The playing surface was fine and the atmosphere was always outstanding. Those fans know their baseball. If there is a good play - even by the other team - they'll cheer.

How can you beat this? New ballpark. Beautiful day in St. Louis. And then you look out there and see the Gateway Arch.

After my first two at bats, I had to make a little adjustment. He was throwing me nasty cutters and I just came out and laid off of it. I got to 2-0 and tried to go the other way and play my game. He made a mistake with a fastball up, but I'll take it.

It was ugly from the get go. We played like we were tired.

It was just a fun game, and a much-needed game. I have never been a part of that. It was just a great all-around game for everybody.
