I've never liked stereotypes. I've always tried to set myself apart from that 'dumb jock' stereotype.

He could grade out at 98 percent and he's not worried about the 98 percent he did well. He's worried about the 2 percent he didn't do well. ... Even when he's having great games, he's hard on himself. And when he has bad games, he's even harder.

I think it's like father, like son. They're both very good with players, they're both players' coaches. When they want something done, it's gonna get done. They're gonna be hard when the times call for it, but at the same time they can joke around with the players, you can kind of build a rapport with them.

He's always been his toughest critic. He'll grade out at 97 percent and he's sitting there worrying about the 3 percent he did wrong. That's what makes great athletes and great people, in general, when you're worried about getting better. You're aiming at perfection.

I think, by far, he's exceeded expectations. He's made his share of mistakes but he's definitely done a lot of great things, and it's only going to get better from here.

You can say he's inexperienced. But he's never immature.

When you've lost something, and you find it again, it has so much more meaning.

People have always said I was a tough player. But that kid's a tough SOB, I tell you what. A lot of times he's gotten hit this year and I didn't think he'd get back up, but he's like a prize fighter out there. He's progressed tremendously. The only thing I think was ever wrong with Drew was his inexperience. He was extremely mature for his age. He's a great team player and a great leader and an extremely hard worker.

He will definitely be a great player before he leaves here.
