We were lousy. I told the players the one good thing that game out of this was we won the game. Other than that I can't think of really anything that came out of this that was good.

They were pretty aggressive and good defensively. They helped make us look pretty bad.

It's a reminder to ourselves that as good as we can be at times, as good as we can look for long stretches, we're not all there. We're not completely there, mentally or physically.

Sometimes you think things and you hope they don't happen. But you kind of know that it's coming. You come off some of the games that we just had and you come home and you walk around like you're feeling pretty good. You're playing a team that's missing their best player, and probably physically we're not 100 percent coming out of that trip. So if you put all those things into the mix, it made for one really lousy performance by us.

You can't describe it. I can't describe it and I'm a pretty wordy guy. But I have no words to describe what I saw (Saturday).

She's very, very good under pressure. She doesn't get bothered by anything. That's why she's kind of hard for me to coach because when I talk to her, she don't listen because she's not affected by anything. I knew she was going to make the free throws.

Whereas before, we didn't know whether we could go on a run like that and get up big on some teams. Now we know that. And we also know that if they come back, we've got what it takes to finish the job. Whether we do or not next time we're in that situation, I don't know. I don't think anybody comes through 100 percent of the time. ... As long as we have a chance to win with three minutes to go, I like our chances.

I was afraid of that. We came off some of the games we just had and we were feeling pretty good. We're playing a game where their No.1 player is hurt, and physically we're not 100 percent coming out of the road trip. You put all those things in the mix, it made for one lousy game.

If we play as well as we're capable of playing, we're going to win (tonight) regardless of what Rutgers does. If we don't play our 'A' or to the best of our ability, then there's a pretty good chance that if Rutgers plays well we're going to lose. And that's the way it should be when you play against a really good team. But, you know what? We're home. We're in our building. And the expectation level is we're going to win. That's the bottom line.

Certainly it has become the game that everybody in the Big East points to.

That kind of got everybody off and running. And it just kind of took on a life of its own.

She may be as difficult a player to match up and defend as anybody I've seen up to this point.

I've been around her, I've coached her. When she gets it going, you can't guard her.

I've always had enough people around me that I've come to know a little bit about it. We're trying to do as many things as we can to help the process.

We can't run a play. We can't get into any kind of offense. For us, it was hard to find people to contribute. (Rutgers) got contributions from a lot of people.
