The European discussion of airline blacklists to improve airline safety is a cause for concern. While blacklists may be an opportunistic political response to human tragedies, they are not the solution to further improving airline safety. The growth is there, the issue is how we can make this growth into a profitable industry. The solution is increasing efficiency of airlines, increasing the load factor and handling better capacity.

The challenges facing the industry are enormous.

India was always a great market, but for the future. Now it can become an important market in the short term.
