A lot of it came from Mother Nature. The wind was blowing, it was obviously very strong today. It's a combination of our bats starting to come around and good old Mother Nature had the wind blowing out today.

We got a couple big hits to score multiple runs. Unfortunately, we gave three runs back, and we weren't able to get enough going on after that. Their pitching was solid. I thought our guys fought hard and played a good game.

The winning streak wasn't anything we were talking about as a team. You obviously want to keep a winning streak going.

Our hitters have got to be more selective. The pitchers are going to pitch tough. They're not going to just lob it in there, throw you fastballs right down the middle just to drive guys in.

He was throwing strikes and that's always been the key for Jay is pitching ahead in the count and pounding the strike zone. That's what he did. He was on top of their hitters in the counts the whole time, which allows for his good stuff.

We scored five in the first inning and then had Jay go out and put five straight zeros on the board. That set the tempo for the whole game.

The guy I was really pleased with was Justin Rogers. We moved Justin up to the five-hole, and he responded.

The guys know it's a big weekend going into Kent [State]. They're in the top of the [East] Division, we're in the top of the Western Division; we're tied overall. There's not a whole lot of motivational speeches that need to be made.

We know we're going into the den of thieves and we're going to have to go steal some.

We didn't get any fire in our own eyes until we got our back against the wall. That's something we've talked about quite a bit. We need to come out and attack the game and make sure we're taking advantage of every opportunity we get from the first inning on.

I haven't been able to put my finger on it exactly. I think it's guys motivating themselves and getting ready to play and getting off on the right foot. We haven't been able to get ourselves fired up until the other team does something to get us fired up.

You've got to do more than six hits and four runs in game three of the series.

Even though we lost the series, we didn't really lose ground to the leader this week. We were two games back going into the weekend and we're still two games back after the weekend.

I thought the two comebacks were our team fighting. The loss in game three, it just was a good game. If we can continue to play like that, we're going to be fine if we make a team play that well to beat us.

I talked to the guys about giving them the game back and getting them into a frame of mind where they're having fun playing. The only way we're going to get the most of ourselves is if we do enjoy playing and learn to enjoy the game again.
