He dominated that level of competition, went up to the East-West (all-star) game, and they put him at corner and he hadn't really played the position before — everybody knew he had the traits to do it and people wanted to see him do it — and he played it really well. Alex was sticking out at us. To use one of Jerry's terms, he was like a beacon light. I came in [Sunday] morning, and [area scout] Phil Emery was high on Alex. I said, 'Jerry, we've got to take this guy.' I literally had a dream about drafting him.

You're looking for athletic ability more than anything, but some tackles might be a little too slow to be on the outside.

The tight ends are gone. You can't create one.
