I played with the guy for parts of eight years. He's one of my closest friends I played with. It's a little strange seeing him on the other side.

I knew it didn't catch him square but obviously, it still doesn't matter. When you get hit in the head, it's a scary moment.

The main thing about it is, especially if a guy's on second, it'll shorten the lead of the runner. If it's a base hit, you're keeping him a little bit closer to the bag and it's giving the outfielder an extra step or two to try to throw the guy out at home.

It was unbelievable. That's what we all expect him to be. He had a lot of giddy-up on his fastball. We mixed in his off-speed stuff after he established the fastball.

It's been the same. What he did tonight was exactly what he's been doing in all the simulated games he's thrown.

Yeah, I saw it a few times last year. The start before the All-Star break, he didn't get the win or anything, but that's when he started to turn it around. That's what we should expect from him. I always knew it was there.

I'm a big supporter of the Bushes. I was thrilled when they asked me to do it.

We talked about it; they didn't make the decision on their own. I'm not going to be able to go (today), so if I'm not ready to go, it will only hurt the team. It's a day-to-day process. It's gotten better every single day.

It tells us we're going in the right direction for once and trying to win. They're actually making moves to try and better the team. Every move that they've made has pretty much bettered us as a team.
