As we open the gates to Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, we know that millions of guests will open their hearts to this fantasy world where characters and stories spring to life, where dreams come true and where families will have fun together.

Hong Kong Disneyland is (our) first theme park in China. It's also the first Disney theme park that's modeled so closely to the first Disneyland in California.

Now we're poised to begin the next chapter of Disney history when Hong Kong Disneyland will officially open to the world.

Successfully adding the popular characters from the Pirates of the Caribbean films with the mythology of our classic attraction is an example of Disney synergy and Walt Disney Imagineering at its finest. These additions will result in an exciting new chapter for the attraction and an unforgettable experience for our guests, giving them another reason to come and be a part of our continuing 50th anniversary celebration.

Successfully adding the popular characters from the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' films with the mythology of our classic attraction is an example of Disney synergy and Walt Disney Imagineering at its finest.

Unfortunately, we weren't able to accommodate everyone who wanted to visit our park during the Chinese New Year -- and we regret that anyone may have been inconvenienced. Based on our experience this week, we'll go back and make sure our ticketing policies better reflect the heavy demand around peak holiday periods.
