I think we looked at it from the aspect that this would be more beneficial to the charities. They would be able to raise more money up front, and it gives us the opportunity to sell more tickets. Last year, the sales period was from March to the end of June, and charities sold 60,000 tickets. With this expanded sales time, our request for tickets is already in excess of 80,000.

The PGA Tour is very dedicated to charitable giving. That is the hallmark of the tour. The players' wives, when they are at a tournament, try to get into the community effort somewhere.

We had four that were really impacted. Right now we are focused on assessing where the stores stand and how our associates faired. We had a great many people that lived in that area and we haven't gotten a hold of everyone yet. All we know right now is that all four stores still stand with varying levels of damage.

Once we get the permits, it's about 120 days to get the store built, stocked and open.

We looking for areas that have 3,000 housing starts per year within 25 miles of the store. That's our growth standard.

For the long-term growth of the company, this is absolutely necessary. This is part of our three-year strategic growth plan. We realized we could become a $10 billion operation, but in order to do this we needed to review where we were.

It was in a market that was growing but has declined, at least as far as housing starts. What it all comes down to is housing starts. Our benchmark is 3,000 starts annually in a market. There were not very many in these areas and 95 percent of our customers are builders. It is not a people issue, it is a market issue.

If they transfer to another store, they would be at least at the same position. In some cases, like for co-managers, it could result in a promotion to manager. There could be a few cases where they would transfer to corporate headquarters, which, of course, would be a different type of assignment from store operation.

As part of the strategic growth plan that's been in the works for some time, we analyzed the staff and financial commitment it had taken to put on a first-class tournament and asked ourselves if we had achieved what we wanted to achieve as a result of that commitment. And the answer was, yes. We then started analyzing how much of a commitment it would take for us to maintain and improve the tournament for the next six years and ask the question as to whether we could again achieve our goals. We didn't think so. This was a very difficult decision, but it was a business decision, and it was the right one.

At the end of the day, it was a very emotional and difficult decision not to continue with the golf tournament.
