Obviously, we struggle right now with our perimeter shooting and play. We didn't make them pay as much as we would have hoped for their committing multiple defenders to McGrady. (Bowen) can make (shots). I'm disappointed in his lack of confidence. I have more confidence in him than he has in himself.

We can still win. Obviously, your chances are better when you have your better players.

If you have Tracy McGrady on your team and play really hard and smart, you can be in games.

They really showed our other guys absolutely no regard. I've never seen a team just leave small guys wide open behind the three-point line, but that proved effective.

We have to get a team that represents what our standards are. On the road trip and the Boston game prior to that, we represented ourselves well. In the last two games we have given very, very little to the game, to each other and to the organization.

What matters is that we fouled too much, we turned it over too much, and I think we probably shot in the 20's. We didn't play well enough on offense to win. We have professional players out there, so we have no excuses.

I haven't had any conversations with anyone, so expending vocal energy on that is of no significance. This may be his best chance at carving out a career for himself in the NBA.

I don't care how hard you play, if you don't shoot the ball competently, you're going to have a hard time. We do just enough good to lose close. That's what we've been all season. It's mind-boggling. These guys are professional guys and they're all professional basketball players so we should expect to play well and play hard.

Hard playing, very few mistakes, no tricks coming at you ? they're just going to compete harder on defense than you're going to play on offense and (be) ultra prepared. No one talks about it, but I think without question, when all is said and done, he is a Hall of Fame coach. I really believe that with all my heart.

It's unfortunate that it happened. He's a good player and a good guy, so tomorrow's a new day.

Tracy got going pretty well after a while, but the first half his back was quite bothersome. Obviously, Yao had some fatigue problems. He never could quite get going in the fourth quarter.

It's a testament to his dedication that he was able to, after six weeks off, play 32 minutes. Very few people with his injury and his natural conditioning problem, being 7-6, would be able to do that. But he's got an unusual amount of dedication to his team. He should be really commended for that.
