Last year when he was up, he was hitting in the eight-hole all year for us when he was there and had no protection behind him. It put him at a little bit of a disadvantage coming into the big leagues.

He's probably more ready than anybody we've got.

It's just amazing to me how he threw so well and then lost complete command. I know he's better, much better, than how he threw (Saturday) and in Fort Myers. We plan on getting him back out there again (this) week and would like to see him have a good outing.

We're going to try and stretch him out the best we can the rest of the way.

Sometimes you have to do what's best for the long haul, not the short-term.
