I'm not entirely enamored with it. It is built on a housing-first model.

It seems odd people are doing it on this side of the street instead of the other side where it?s track property with only one house that?s set way back. It?s like they?re not giving up anything.

All this started because we were thinking the storm was coming our way.

We really tied in with First United Methodist Church in that they let us use their showers,

Some churches in this area have showers to help mission groups going into Mexico.

Then on Sunday, we were getting a little low on food and Rick Jones called and said 'We're gearing down at the college and we have food that's been donated. Can you use it?'

We used that for Sunday evening meals and Monday morning and Monday noon.

The thing I heard from every one of the people was how wonderful this town was, how many people greeted them with smiles and, if they didn't know the answer, they'd find it,

We made a lot of improvements. They just have to keep going in the right direction. Eventually, it will come.

We had a bed unit from the Baptist Association.

Jason is one of those guys you have to see every night to really appreciate. You might see a couple of his great passes on the highlights, and you might see a triple double in the stats, but you won't see all the quiet, little plays he makes that help a team win.

It feels good and is kind of a monkey off of our back. We've been fighting hard and playing well, but we couldn't seem to get that first win. They were a little tight pushing a little too hard and it cost us some goals, but they fought back. Once we got behind, we tended to go into a bit of a shell, so hopefully this will be a learning experience and not back off when we get down.
