It was a great team effort. Having depth and talent has been a big key to our success this season. Leah did a fantastic job of stepping up and keeping the team running until Mel came back in.

I would like to think with the type of season that we've had, we're well-deserving of (an NCAA bid). I hope that we don't get left out because that would leave a real void in these seniors' careers.

Our strength of schedule was not fantastic, but it was not as bad as some that got in. When you look at 18-12 teams getting in from power conferences -- the mid-majors seem to be left out in the cold. It seems like it works a little differently on the men's side.

They got a freshman point guard. Any time you have a freshman point guard, some days are good and some days are bad.

I thought out kids did a tremendous job of bringing the defense.

Our seniors have accomplished a lot this season. I was disappointed that this was the way our seniors had to go out, but they have built a tradition with everything that they have done.

Maybe we were focusing a little too much on the championship, being on our home court in front of all our fans. Now we just have to focus on Southern Illinois and get ready to take care of business in the MVC tournament.

I've probably gotten caught up in it more than I should have. There has been some criticism of our schedule this season and it probably wasn't as tough as it could have been. If we can keep our RPI in the low or mid-30s, I think we'd have a pretty good chance. If we go into the 40s we won't have a very good chance.

I'd be lying if I said this wasn't a game that we've been looking forward to. Our fans haven't stopped talking about it since last March.

With the addition of Annie, she gives us a lot of depth at the guard position. Annie will be able to relieve Mel at the point so we don't have to play our starting guards a ton of minutes.

We were very fortunate to get the win today. As the season goes along you need these kinds of gut-check games. I think our kids showed a lot of character, especially in the second half.

To set the record and not be at home, I couldn't think of a better place to break it at. Missouri State is tough at home and they average over 6,000 fans per game, so it will a tough challenge for our kids. That's not exactly how we scripted it. I give all the credit in the world to Drake. They are a smart team and very well coached.
