Some plans are coming around to the fact that this is the fastest- and largest-growing population of the uninsured population -- they're trying to market some different plans.

I think there is a statewide concern that we have a shiny new system that no one has any real confidence will work.

We are looking for assurances that if there is a problem, (data) will be quickly recovered. They're looking at it and saying, 'just trust me.' I'm not very confident in that answer.

It looks like we're gonna have the same old, same old with a new database with bells and whistles.

What I think we could see come May is a realization that we haven't fixed the problems that we have.

This new system does not eliminate duplicate registrations. I believe I'm a duplicate registration. I hadn't noticed that.

I hope that I'm wrong. I hope that I'm wrong in that this system will take care of those problems. But the fact is, we just don't know.

I hope that the system will not crash and that we won't be able to print our poll books, or we won't be able to run a voter check when someone shows up and wasn't put on a poll book when they should have been.

When you're done, you get to interview with a department you're interested in. It's really awesome.

The state is covering up a problem with the voter registration system by trying to legislate rather than fixing the problem with the system.

And what we discovered when we came in this morning was that we couldn't even log onto the system.

That is absolutely probably the worst downfall that this system could have if we are not able to print poll books to get to the precincts so that people can vote on Election Day.

I'm just happy that we're finally getting a reaction from the company on problems and concerns that we've had and that we've been trying to tell them about for over a year now.

Despite all that happened to the football team last season, they've really turned it around this fall. To defeat Jacksonville State last week was great because they are a ranked team.

There's some skepticism still. Hopefully by Homecoming the students will be more involved.
