I didn't think she was ever going to get into the gate, but once I got off of her, she went right in. After that, all I was worried about was getting a good position. She broke fine, and when I got her in position, everything went great.

I was in a comfortable position. He rated perfectly. He has done everything we have asked him to do so far.

Down the backside, the leaders were all outside of us, and I had the rail. I thought to myself that couldn't ask for a better trip. Then he moved for me, but when we got to the lead, he kind of started playing around, so I had to take a hold of him a little bit and shake him up. Then he was able to hold on.

All I had to do was get position and bide my time. When he was ready to run, I asked him and he responded. I was just a passenger here.

The race set up just the way I wanted. I was able to sit behind horses the way I wanted, and then at the half-mile pole, I moved on her, and it was all her from there.

He's running good and doing well. I hope he'll bounce back.
