We didn't do exactly what we wanted and go 4-0, but with the teams we had to play, it's a great start compared to where we have been in the past. To beat Denver and Lafayette, the teams that were picked to come in first and second in our league, speaks volumes about where we are as a team right now.

Defensively, the guys are holding each other accountable and are taking a great deal of pride. Before we weren't necessarily going through the motions, but we weren't sold on the fact that we were capable of stopping people.

It's the guys' attitude more than anything. We haven't gotten the results we wanted to every game, but the effort has been there. Even after wins, if we haven't had just a great defensive night, they were really disappointed about it.

I am not sure if Quincy has ever really considered himself playing in his brother's shadow. He has done an excellent job of developing his own reputation.

It's a big game for us. We are sitting there with a chance to play for something, even if it is just being in first place for a week midway through the season.

The ball didn't fall for us on the last shot. I'm as proud of my kids as if they had won the county championship. They played their hearts out. They left their heart and soul out there on that floor.

I wanted to keep it close going into the fourth and try to pull it out then.

Everybody in the league knew at some point they'd put it all together. It was our tough luck that it was tonight.

Every time they made a run, we made a run back (at them). Basketball's a game of runs, and we had the last run.

The biggest part of the game was tying to overcome our deficit at the free-throw line. They are one of the better free throw shooting teams in the league. It was difficult to overcome.

It is a tragedy that there was no consultation. Every student will be affected by this. I hope it shows the strength of feeling.

We are very fortunate to still be in this position. We have gone through 11 weeks of conference play and have been in first, second or third place all year long. We hope to finish in the second or third spot after these last two games.

We have not shot the ball as well as we did at the beginning of the season. We think we are starting to get our shooting touch back. We shot the ball well against Denver.

It was a great team effort. I thought all of our guys came out and played well. Calvin and Kendrick both made some big shots and they did it at a crucial part of the game.

It was very disappointing because we got off to a great start. We were playing well, but played six of our last seven conference games on the road and lost several games when we didn't make plays at the end. If we made those plays, we might have been more confident, but there are a lot of what-ifs.
