I have a lot of respect for George Washington. We played well tonight, but had more turnovers than we would have liked and missed really important free throws. This was a very important non-conference win for us that will pay dividends down the road and as we begin ACC play on Monday.

Offensively, we never got it going. We didn't play well on the inside. We didn't play well on the outside ... (FSU) played very well defensively.

There's not a player for Maryland who's not a threat. We had our hands full. They one of the most talented teams in the country, and we'll see soon if they may be the very best.

We really turned that around. The players did a great job on both ends.

I think Cristy is doing a great job. They're really playing hard for her. They're a really tough team.

When we played at Florida State we didn't play as aggressively as we should have. Now we have a chance again to see what we can do.

I think [the opener] is the hardest one. You come out and you've just got that 40 minutes. I think we seemed a little tight, not quite ourselves in that first half. I thought we loosened up some and really got the ball moving on offense much better and still continued to play really good defense.

I'm just really proud of my team the way they hung in there down the stretch. They had some tough possessions there. They had to make some really good decisions and I thought they did a really good job.

She always plays hard. She has just been working harder with her shot selection and getting in her range for her shots. We tried to set up a few more things to give her opportunities for penetration.

This is now a mind-over-matter thing. We saw coming in that we would have to play four games in the bracket (to win the title). We'll go back and rest and we'll eat well. It's going to be a two-hour game. We love the game, so it's not like we're doing something we hate. How tired can we be? We can't be tired.

It's a tall order, but they are student athletes and they like challenges.

We wanted to put the same kind of pressure on them that they put on us. We felt if we really penetrated strongly, and did a good job, that it would cause fouls on their part.

That was the main thing I wanted them to focus on was not to letup on the defensive end. Play great defense, box out and they got their hands on some balls down the stretch playing great defense. That really helped save the game for us.

She's been doing a really good job. We've tried to set up a few things to give her more opportunity for penetration and help her out as much as we can from our offensive sets. I thought they got the ball to her, and she took advantage.

It was a very disappointing performance for us. I just don't feel that we were prepared as well as we needed to be for this game.
