That's all it is, just rumors right now. But, we are going to take the necessary precautions at Fletcher High School. Neptune Beach is allowing two of their officers to come to assist us. We'll have our school resource officer there, who is assigned there and we'll have supervisor there.

This (arrest) is the result of an incident that occurred April 3 -- early part of this month -- when he shot at several individuals. Fortunately, none of those individuals were hit or killed.

We have a fluid, active crime scene right now. We have several persons of interest right now. We're moving rapidly along with this particular investigation.

After further investigation into this incident, we've deemed it to be a murder and we're looking at it with foul play indications.

Right now, we have a couple people detained, talking to them, that are possible witnesses -- no more than that. We're really trying to piece this together.

It's really hard to tell right now, because you've got to look at every factor involved when your talking about a (potential) fatality. Was there drugs or alcohol involved; was there mechanical problems; a lot of things you have to take into consideration before you can make that determination.

Make sure that they monitor the delivery of their products, take an inventory and at the end of the business day when they're done, make sure the property is as secure as possible.

There is an active police presence here on a regular basis.

Children and guns are a bad mix. It's a bad mix because children don't know the dangers of guns, so if they get them in their hands, unfortunately, things can happen fatally, just as it did here.
