I remember being a little freshman intimidated by the seniors. It seemed like it just went by so fast. It's like I'm closing a chapter in my life. But, I'm ready to start a new one.

Every one knows that most teams are going to focus on trying to stop me and Kelly. We've been telling our guards all year somebody has to step up. Tonight Rachel did. If it wasn't for her, we would have been down by 15 points at halftime.

This is the greatest feeling of my life. This is even better than last year, because last year we already had at least a share of the title. This was to win it outright.

It's just like the last two years. We have to play our game and control the tempo. It should be a fun game.

Last week we were No. 13, so I was surprised to see we were No. 8. It gives us motivation to prove to the rest of the section we deserve to get that high a seed.

It's always fun when we play Merced. It sucks that we lost, but we have five games to go. It's going to be exciting, just like the last two years.

I don't think some of our juniors were used to seeing a zone. They tried to dribble against the zone press and that's the worse thing you can do. You have to pass and reverse the ball.

With Christie (Bryant) and Nicole (Sandino) gone, I knew I had to increase my scoring a bit for us to be successful. I had to become more of a leader and I think I did a good job of that.

I had to change my game. I tried to be more than just a 3-point threat. I drove to the basket a lot more and got to the foul line. I worked a lot on my jump shot inside the key.

I knew from the first day that we would have a lot of players coming up from junior varsity. Without Nicole and Christie, who both averaged double figures, someone would have to pick some of those points up. I knew I would have to score in different ways.

We still had high expectations coming into the season. There was no reason to drop them. We knew we had potential and we knew we had capable players coming in.
