Peter's attention to detail and international experience, both as a player and coach, will be instrumental to Team USA's preparation and success at the upcoming World Championship.

Mike inherited a somewhat difficult situation with 21 games remaining in the 2003-04 season, but he did an outstanding job of steering us into the playoffs. For a freshman in college to jump in and grab that type of playing time is really good. He started out real well up there, then he slowed down a little bit in the middle of the season, and then he ended up real strong.

We liked his size, obviously, and his competitiveness in the net. He's quick for his size.

Some of the guys and our alumni were talking about how great he played in that game. It was a great experience for him.
