When we're standing in the outfield, we can hear [Hudson] talking in the infield. We just wind him up and let him go. His battery never runs low.

I told those guys that you really don't see those yet on bubble gum cards on the backs. They count during the season. They can hit 20 or 30 during Spring Training and none of them count.

I don't think anybody's worried about him. If you know him, you know he's going to be all right. He'll do what he's got to do to be ready.

I always don't like when you play against catchers that you've played with, because they know you sometimes better than you do because they study hitters all the time.

Even though everything tells you they are not going to do well because of the team, we're very excited about the direction they're going in, with the manager and the ball team. We had some hesitation, but when we did our research, we feel the Marlins are here to stay in South Florida ... The bottom line is they're still a Major League Baseball team. There's only 30 of them.
