Things look very good. We pretty much ironed out all the details. I think both sides and all the parties involved feel optimistic about the final contract.

He's obviously not employed here anymore. He returned the money. The district is not planning to take any further action.

When you look at this contract, the end result really benefited students. I do believe it's a win-win contract -- for the kids, basically. I think they're going to gain the most. The board worked very hard to make sure they took the taxpayers into account. That's one of the reasons this process went on as long as it did.

This means we remain at an impasse. The district does believe final best-offer would bring some closure to this by bringing in a third party. We regret they're not joining us in an effort to bring some closure to this situation.

We have tried every alternative-dispute resolution, including fact-finding. We're trying to find an acceptable resolution because it's obvious we're at an impasse.

We're obviously happy to get back to some discussion. This is our first meeting at the table since (November). We are looking forward to some positive results.

The district has not received any formal or informal response to that last proposal.

Right now that's where it stands to be.

The district feels we all have the same goal, and that is to create a quality program for our students. Obviously, we want to bring some closure to these negotiations. That will assist us in what we do best, educating our students.

We could have met several times in December; unfortunately, PTEA rejected all of those dates.

We have not been notified by PTEA as to their decision.

To me, this is a positive sign. There is discussion going on. Another session is planned next week with plans to continue that discussion.

We're continuing where we left off last week. We've had three negotiating sessions within the last three weeks. Each side left willing to continue the discussions. Our intentions are to continue the sessions, and hopefully, get a contract. Both parties are going to pick up the discussion where we left off and hopefully continue to make progress.
