Realistically, we're going in to find out what's going on,

We want [pitching coach] Larry Rothschild to evaluate his arm strength and go from there. We will have more of a feel within the next week for how far we are before he throws on the mound. His long toss will be with a fair amount of intensity, but we are concentrating now on the volume of throws rather than the intensity.

The key for us is to do whatever we can so he doesn't lose arm strength.

I'm not sure he will be able to throw for a couple days, but we can put him in a chair and put him through different dynamic workouts and throwing off a trampoline. We'll get him outside throwing as soon as we can.
