There are other guys that are priorities in this offense, and if they want me to be there, then they'll make that clear and they'll do stuff for me or whatever. I'm just trying to do as much as I can to help the team win and not get in anybody's way or take up too many shots, because other guys on the team need shots.

It's a big blow for us.

Both guys were all over the glass. But there's a reason. They were going against smaller guys a lot of the time.

There are two issues with the D-League right now. One is having your guys around to learn your system. Maybe after they know your system very well, then you can send them down. The other issue is that it's not a one-on-one thing.

It's certainly a step back. We took them lightly. How that can be? We know what it is to play without (key) players. They lose two of their starters from last night and basically they had their guys step up.

You know he's going to shoot 50 percent and if he catches the ball in deep, he's going to take care of business. Plus, he's a good defender, as well. He plays the total game.

We'll see how that goes. He's done some nice things of late and hopefully he can give us a spark to start the game.

It's a long flight for us, it's about as far as we can go on a back-to-back, and you're getting there late, and the altitude. That's probably the toughest place.

You got to give him credit. He made shots that aren't usually possible. He took 41, but made 17. But the 17th came at a bad time for us.

Incredible performance by Kobe. I thought our guys defended him as well as he could have been defended. He went on that 3-point barrage and that was pretty incredible. We made him work for it, but when it came down to it, he made the shot that counted.

To let (Sacramento) shoot 55 percent in the game and still be as close as we were was amazing in itself. We came down at the end of the game and executed pretty well for ourselves, but they had the extra possession.

From a defensive standpoint, we wanted to set the tempo of the game. I thought we did a pretty good job trying to establish out low post game.

The time I got to spend with him when he was coaching, that was great. That was a tremendous advantage for me. I was having a good time with it, but I didn't realize I was learning so much at the same time.

Our guys played great in overtime along with at the end of regulation to get back into it. We made them miss in overtime and our execution in overtime was tremendous.

This (game) wasn't do-or-die at this point and time, but certainly for us this was a much needed win. We had been struggling and we did a lot of good things performance wise.
