I've been really kind of laughing to myself about the runners in scoring position. Obviously it's not a very funny thing, you want to hit these guys in. We started off 15-30. You think that home run was going to stop us? It may have looked that way from the outside. But on the inside, there were a lot of positives in our favor.

You're 15-30 - you're two weeks out of .500,

So imagine that you're coming to work. You'd be like, 'Well, we're done. It's over.' But at that point, you know those games are still scheduled. You have to go out and play. So your shoulders kind of come down and you say, 'Look, we're going to go down fighting.'

I did really poor in this series, and that really eats at me. That's what I'm supposed to do. It's difficult to handle.

When you have first and third and the tying run is at third, you're definitely thinking that the run at third is the most important run and that you have to stop that. And virtually any play that you can make, you're going to make sure that you are going to get that run. ... It was actually very easy for me just in the sense that I got a slow roller, I saw Albert already running down the line. There actually was no decision; you had to go home.

You don't really become a good team or a great team by pounding people. You become a great team by getting beat and then figuring out how to not make those mistakes again. That's what's happened to us.

It's interesting to see how other teams handle the noise. Imagine being in your high school basketball gym when your team hits a buzzer-beater to win the game. That's what it's like for nine innings.

It's been a grind for us for a long time. We've been playing playoff baseball since April.

I'm so happy right now, and I don't know what to do with myself.
