I don't want to start slowly, but that just seems to be how I've started since I was very young. Hopefully I'll get off to a quick start, because I feel very good at the plate.

It's disappointing to get blown out. Mitre just pitched really well. Offensively, they just got a lot of hits. It was just one of those days where they were on and we were off.

The guy's in a very difficult position a lot of times batting eight hole and is coming up with outstanding at-bats. The presence of having Lance healthy in the lineup is something you can't really explain. When I came up to bat, the pressure was really off because of Willy and Lance. It was really those two guys in that inning.

I get hit in the head once a year and last year I hit my hand, and that had to be as close as you can get to breaking your hand without breaking it. I've never thought about (wearing a pad). I've always seemed to get out of the way.

I definitely feel more comfortable when I know what to expect and I know what the program is. I'm very good with routines. That's not to say I can't make an adjustment if you move me in the lineup, but in general I know I'm going to bat third or fourth or fifth in the lineup, and it's nice to know what your role is.

It was nice to get a pitch to hit. It was a 2-0 (count), and I got a pitch that was a good pitch to drive.

I don't care. It doesn't mean anything to me.

For a guy with limited experience in the league, this guy has really incredible poise. He's got savvy up on the mound. He has an idea of what he wants to throw. He knows his strengths. Just considering such a young pitcher with very little experience, he's very impressive.
