This is obviously a crucial time for us. It's just not a fun time to be hurt. But again, I can't concentrate on that. I have to concentrate on the fact that I'm happy that I even have a chance to play, that my hand should be broken right now.

He's had a tremendous season. These last two months, the guy's been just pitching great. Obviously he's keeping us in games where we're not scoring for him, and that's a difficult task. Last year was extremely frustrating for him, there's no two ways about it. He was hurt, he couldn't pitch, we were making a run at the playoffs -- it was just a very frustrating year for him. I'm very happy that he's doing well.

I felt like I made a step, ... Yesterday it did not go good and today, for whatever reason, it just felt better.

I think we're not playing well right now. It's a very frustrating time for us. I had a lot of pitches tonight to hit, which was surprising. But I didn't do it.

We're doing just the same. Everything's the same. Just keep on waiting and hoping.

We look at our pitching, and we just wonder where we'd be with any kind of offense. But we can't do anything about that. What we have to do is try our best to score some runs, because we know if we get to four or five per game, we've got a great chance to win.

It definitely fires me up and definitely makes me feel like I'm making progress. I feel like I'm towards the end of this. I feel like it could happen in a few days.

In this situation, I think we have to look at it each day. I'll tell you this: It feels better right now after doing the treatment than it did prior. I think that's positive. But the most positive is that it's not a broken bone. It's bruising now, and we know that bruising is good.

We still owe them a ton. One game doesn't really get you even.

If we score five runs a game, I'm convinced we'll go to the playoffs. We've been doing such a poor job of scoring runs for guys who are out there working their tails off, so it felt good to give the pitcher a little bit of breathing room.

I feel like nothing has changed. We need to win tomorrow and keep on winning. I don't look at it that we somehow did a great thing because of the win. It was necessary for us.
