Our turnovers and their offensive rebounding were key. I think 18 of their 32 first half points came down to their effort on the boards.

It seems like this year the Delta's the one that's got the teams going. I think the Delta's always had talent, but now they're getting the coaching to go with the talent. We in Northeast Mississippi have some catching up to do.

I predicted we'd win by 10, so I'm going to give myself credit. The way they beat us before - everything was correctable. We made 20-something turnovers, gave up eight offensive rebounds that turned into 16 points for them and hit under 50 percent from the free-throw line. Nobody stepped up.

They were physically the better team. They were very strong, mature. They had good balance and a whole lot of scorers.

We don't really go to any one certain player. We play about eight or nine and we've had five or six different leading scorers.

You can tell he works hard. He's what coaches want. He's committed to the game, you can tell that.

It'll be a little bit more memorable, because you don't get too many chances to play down here in the (Mississippi) Coliseum in this atmosphere. It's kind of special. It's a special bunch of guys. Very special.

I told him I think he's the most valuable player for the day. I knew Marcus is one of the most energetic and good defensive players you ever wanna see.

That's been their strong point all year, is when things start going wrong, they just keep fighting back instead of feeling sorry for themselves.

When you're on that operating table, knowing they're about to cut you open and work on your heart, you realize that basketball isn't really the most important thing in the world.

I don't know, but I'll tell you this: For 32 minutes, it's still a lot of fun. I'm mighty thankful to still be doing it.

If every team was as receptive to coaching as this one, I might coach forever. These guys want to win so badly, they do everything you ask them to do.

Maybe so, maybe I have. I choose my battles a little bit more now. But on the stuff that's important, I still put my foot down.

Jermaine had a career game today, and I can't think of a better place or better time to do it - unless it's Friday.

That'll be something they remember the rest of their lives. It may not be all good, but it'll be good.
