All of our kids played hard. South Tahoe was down on numbers and had injuries. Their kids played extremely hard. They had a good energy level no matter who was out there.

We got kicked and stomped on.

Reno's guard play was too tough for us. They denied our entry passes and just played with a lot more energy than we did.

It's a brand new season. But because of the past we're familiar with them, having lost to them twice. But, if anything, it gives us knowledge having gone against them, as opposed to say Elko.

It was just our night. When the ball is going in the basket when you're falling down, you know it's your night.

I think it definitely helped that we had played them twice before. Our girls were very comfortable playing them.

That was major for us. That's why we fought so hard to get the number two seed (out of the Sierra League). We didn't want to go on the road.

When our big people come to play with energy like they did tonight, we play pretty well.

Sinead came to play tonight. She's a tough player. She's one of the strongest girls we have.

We started out slow this year (1-3) but we knew down the road that we could improve and turn it around. It's been a good year for us.

We played the No. 1 seed (in the High Desert League) and we were the No. 2 seed (in the Sierra League). We weren't able to knock off No. 1 because they played like No. 1. They are well coached, they have talent, and they have played together as a team for quite a while. They showed that they are a true team.

We had a hard time running our offense. They remind me a lot of Reno (which shut Carson down twice this year) - our kids had the same expression on their faces against Reno.

This being my first year, I was blessed to have a team like this. They are the greatest girls in the world. They worked together and made life pleasurable for me in my first year coaching here. In my 27 years of coaching, this was my most enjoyable year.

Douglas came out fired up and we couldn't meet their energy level. Nicole had two fouls early and we sent her to the bench. And we struggled with their 1-3-1 (defensive scheme).
