Nixon had already resigned and the held opinion (in Hollywood) was 'No one cares. No one wants to hear about this. And I said, 'No, it's not about Nixon. It's about something else. It's about investigative journalism and hard work.

To the outside world, it's a big fat market where you have people like Paris Hilton going to parties. Now, she doesn't have anything to do with anything. I think the festival is close to being out of control.

As San Francisco holds a special place in my heart and is one of the nation's great centers of independent film, I am particularly excited to have found such a perfect home for Sundance in this city.
