In the last two years, we've played a lot of guys. A lot of teams are shortening up their rotation right now and going eight or nine. We don't have that kind of team yet.

They were very physical with us most of the night. Their defense was active. Even though our shooting percentage was good [52. We have played better at the end of the games. We have tended to make some pretty good plays on both ends of the floor when the game is on the line.

My guys almost every night battle really hard. They've had a lot of things go against them in late game situations and we haven't been able to seize the moment. Lately, we've been able to do that and our guys appear to growing up as a team.

I wasn't really concerned about [other teams]. I was thinking about my own team. I've learned not to sell them short. I've learned when we're down 17 last night [to Indiana before rallying to win] the game is not over. They battle, and they like to play. We know we have some shortcomings but they try to stay organized, they move the ball, they try to play together, and when you do that, success is going to follow at some point ? it's just a matter of time.

He's well over 700 free throws. [If] you put any two of our guys together, they're not even close to that.

[We've] had a lot of games go against us like that where we haven't been able to seize the moment, and our guys seem to be growing up as a team, and it's nice to see.

I think he is the most-improved player (in the NBA). I also thought he should have been all-rookie (NBA selection) and things like that. But people look at him as already a pro player. I understand that because he has played professionally for a long time. I know everybody respects him around the league, they just tend to look at him as a long-term veteran, or whatever, even though he's in his second year.

His personality has definitely come out this year, there's no doubt about it. He's much more comfortable around the guys. With the coaches, we could always have a basketball conversation with him last year because he understood the basketball terminology. But just as far as other conversations, it wasn't terribly difficult but it's much more easy now.

They do a lot of the same things. They're both from the Ben Wallace mold where you can have an effect on a game without having to contribute a lot offensively.

We pretty much got dominated from beginning to end. Even when it was close, it wasn't close.

I thought we looked panicked right from the jump ball. The way that we attacked them in Philadelphia, and in practice yesterday and then the shoot-around, we just went away from those things.

We know we're not a title-contending team right now, but in the history of teams winning titles they tend to take their lumps for a little while before they finally get there.
