It was pretty tough because he's a great leader. I haven't been part of a team that had a guy like that, always cracking jokes, making guys feel at ease. It's a joy to play with that guy.

When he hit it, I had a good break on it. It seemed like one of those balls that kept going downward as I got closer, and then I was caught. I thought I'd have a chance to dive and catch it, but then as I did that, it pushed away from me.

I can't get a hit every time. So the next best thing for me is to walk. I try to work a pitcher. You go up there and take a couple of pitches and go deep in the count and it helps the other hitters out, too. They're all watching to see what the guy's got.

Everyone's healthy and doing great.

It was his night. You can't take anything away from him. He pitched seven strong innings. He deserved it. He deserved to win.

There is nothing better, not when you hold her.
