I know it sounds kinda crazy, but working on the farm is something I enjoy. I like to get out and just putter around.

It's good way to relax when I come home from the road. When you're out there on the tractor there's nobody to bother you.

I know I can still drive a race car and I know I'm capable of winning races. That's what was so frustrating about the last few years.

So now I have somebody to share my pain with.

Everybody puts a lot of emphasis on qualifying here. This is the pole that everybody wants to win.

I know he didn't know what hit him, but I couldn't believe it.

I just looked over to switch the oil cooler fan off and when I looked up everybody was stopped. I hit the brakes and started sliding but I couldn't get it stopped. I guess I'll take the blame for it.

I don't know what happened. I reached down to look at my oil temperature, and when I looked back up everyone was dead stopped. The only silver lining is that our backup car should be as good as our primary. We came down here testing last month and had a tough time deciding which car to bring back, so that's a good sign for Sunday.

This is the most optimistic I've been in a long time. I've got some unfinished business.

I know I can still win races and feel like this team will give me a chance to do that. I plan to run only a couple more years, and I'd like to win a few more before I'm done.

What a shame. The Waste Management Chevrolet was really good all day and I was having fun out there. We had a rocket and I'm confident at least a top-10 finish was in our future?maybe even the win. But things just didn't work out for us the way they were supposed to.

Starting from the back was a disadvantage. But we drove through the field and then stayed in the lead draft and kept our nose clean most of the day. It really looked like we were going to have a good, solid finish until something happened to the #2 car (Kurt Busch). I don't know if he got into the wall or if someone turned him into the fence but he came down in front of us and knocked the nose off the car. Our chance for a win was done after that.

We just couldn't find the right combination. The team really worked hard at it, but it was one of those days when nothing seemed to click.

We had a good test in Las Vegas (in January) and I think we're ready to jump out and run up front. We're banking on a red-hot performance to go along with our cool-looking car and our cool-looking Wiley X shades.

I love racing these short tracks. It's fun and exciting, and a great show for the fans and drivers. There's never a dull moment out there. It's as much about experience and thinking as it is about a good race car.
