I was so tight standing up so early in the race that I was just having a hard time, ... As we freed up and got rid of some fuel I was a little better but I was still too tight.

I knew I had a good car, ... Everybody we came to I could pass. The car would stick in the middle going in and come back and pick up the cushion. The car was getting off the corners better than it has in quite some time. It felt a little more like the car did at the beginning of the year. I had an exceptionally good racecar tonight. I could run the bottom in Turns 1 and 2 and I could run through the middle and back up to the cushion in Turn 3. When you're like that, [crew chief] Scott Gerkin and the guys did a great job.

I think it beats them all. This is the best feeling a father can have.

Not bad for a 20-year-old.

I just got so slow in Turns 1 and 2 and that's where he beat me. In Turns 3 and 4 we were both getting around the top pretty well. It was sort of my fault. I was glad to see Kraig win the Nationals the other night, ... I probably would have given him a pretty good race if I wouldn't have crashed (in a preliminary race).

I was just trying to save tires and run so easy, ... I didn't want to get to lapped cars because I didn't know what I'd do with them.
