[What do you say when you've lost two tight games at home to the champs once-removed?] We played pretty well tonight, ... They made some phenomenal shots in the fourth quarter. At some point, you've just got to congratulate them.

He was obviously unbelievable. He just got in rhythm. I don't think it mattered what kind of look he got, he was just making shots.

It was a tough game for us, considering that it was our fourth game in five nights. We scrapped, but we just struggled offensively and couldn't make any shots. We missed a lot of shots that we can make, but they also played well.

It's not fun to have a poor game and lose, but getting a win when others are playing well is great for me. Eddie's been on a real roll and it was great to have more options on the bench tonight.

I don't think we can blame it on anything but lack of intensity. I thought we were pretty passive to start the game and never got any sort of determination going against a team that has been playing well.

I thought he really was great at being in the paint, knowing when to finish, when to pump fake, when to pass. He made the right decisions. It's really difficult to guard him when he makes those decisions.

If my career has somehow inspired or gained interest in kids across the country, that would be unbelievable to have that sort of impact.

You have to look at the personnel and realize maybe it's not a great fit. If it is going to be a fit, it takes time. Guys have been playing a certain style for a long time. To come to our team and expect them to run their butts off every single play is breaking a lot of habits.

This is a chance to get a little bit of separation if we play well. We blew one in Denver but tonight was a good one and we've got a few coming up here.

All these teams are really dangerous. They've all beaten good teams this year. Somewhere along the line, one of them is going to be waiting for us. We're going to have to try to play extremely well to get just Charlotte, let alone all three.

A lot of teams in that situation wouldn't fight through it.

You can't expect the world. I'm sure a lot of people felt we'd be 10-15 instead of 15-10, but if you ask me we should be 17-8 or 18-7. We lost some very winnable home games, or we're right with San Antonio and Dallas. I'm pretty happy with where we are.

You hear about poor Houston and poor Denver and poor this team and that, but we lose one of the top five players in the game and a weapon like (Barbosa) and it's like an afterthought. Yeah, we should be even better, but we know we're going to get better, and that's a good feeling.

A lot of guys shot the ball well, and I thought we played extremely hard defensively even though they made a lot of shots. It was a pretty solid performance.

We had the game won and then all of a sudden they shot two free throws. When you foul out your whole team and you have the rest of the guys running on fumes after a nine-day road trip, for us just to hang around at that point is outstanding.
