We have trouble with Skyline switching man-to-man, and I don't know why.

Of all the teams I've coached, I don't think I've had a team that is this great.

Last year we turned things around by going 17-7, but got bumped out short of state. It's so great to see this group of girls climb the mountain this year. We are a team to be contended with, and we are excited to be going to state.

We really responded in clutch time and made big, big free throws down the stretch.

I used to call her AT -- automatic turnover.

That carries over. The mere fact that we haven't been in the Dome is irrelevant. We've been in some big games and ... with those three, I don't think we'll be intimidated by the atmosphere.

She's just got this way about her, this competitiveness about her that allows her to perform well when the game's on the line. Those are the sort of intangibles that it is hard to recognize until you start seeing them day in and day out.

You better get out with your running shoes, or you're going to have a long night trying to chase her down. Every girl on our team knows that and they have trouble getting out and stopping her in practice.

I've had a lot of great teams ... but I can't really remember having a team as great as this girls basketball team. It's more than one of those pinch-me years.

Maybe we got through some of the nervousness. But I thought my girls played defense the way we have all year.

Heck, I thought my girls played defensively the way they have all year. Of course I feel like every time we give up a hoop I'm not happy, but, when it's all said and done, it's all good.

It's the way this team has played all year. You know, they've hung in there and shown a lot of heart and a lot of character and it wasn't a pretty win for us, but in the state tournament all of these teams are good and we get a chance to move on.

If anything has tested us this year, it's been a big team.

You know those big leads early on don't mean a whole lot.

We did everything we could, and that little girl still got 21.
