This was an excellent win for us. They gave us all we could handle. We didn't come out with the aggressiveness or intensity we needed, but in the second half, we played well. It was the most intense 20 minutes we've had this season.

This is the most upset I've been with this team all year. We missed some key shots and we had some knucklehead plays.

Candice in foul trouble, we can't have that right now.

She's off to a great start of her freshman year and we're really excited at how well she is playing.

Our whole team is in shock, total disbelief. She was a great talent and it's even hard to use the past tense for her. It seems so wrong for someone 22 years old.

I have said to Candice, 'You are the leader of our team. That's just the way it is. Brooke is, too.

She's come a long way quickly. She's the reason why we've been successful the past couple of games. She's gained the team's confidence in running the offense and she's shown great maturity.

We have been relying on Candice and Brooke too much. Kristen would give us more balance but we need contributions from different people.

We haven't been playing great second halves so we came out with a concentrated effort. We knew they would come out in a press and I thought we handled it well.

She said it feels good, but we don't want to do too much. She practiced a little (Tuesday) and I think she was frustrated with her timing. Obviously, she is going to get back in, but it's going to be a challenge.

We have played more games on the road ... we've had that experience already. We're ready to play, and we know we have to play well.

Candice had an off night, but I think this might be motivating for her. She's real competitive and she likes to score. She likes to make things happen. She won't get down; she'll just come back and play. That's my prediction anyway. I'd hate to guard her on Saturday.

I thought we were uninspired in the first half, and we came out and got things going in the second. I was disappointed we couldn't get Brooke out of the game. It was very physical and I didn't want people getting beat up heading to Washington (on Thursday).

I think Candice realized, once she got going, that 'Hey, this is what I can do', and she sets a really high standard for herself. There's not too many shots she's met that she doesn't like.

She's stronger physically, she's healthy, she's rested, and she understands the pro game and how physical it is. And she seems happy, and that's really important.
