I was hoping that he would get back up there and go by him, but it is not very often for a horse to come back at all. I thought for him to even put up a fight like he did was huge. I was just delighted with his effort.

He ran a great race,

When it looked like he was beaten, he dug in. He just kept on fighting. It doesn't feel exactly like a win but we are delighted with the way he ran.

She looks good and she's trained well. We've got to forgive her for one bad race and try again.

Maturity has really brought him to hand.

They're 2-1 [Bellamy Road], 5-2 [Roman Ruler], and 3-1 [Flower Alley] in the morning line. Not a whole lot separates them. If Bellamy Road had a prior race, he'd be a bigger favorite. Blinkers have helped Flower Alley. He's become more focused with them on. I think the Jim Dandy was a breakthrough performance for him. It escalated him to a different level.

All the way, I've tried to get him more fit. Racing is the biggest component of that. He was lightly raced going into the Derby. Now, he has the Dwyer and Jim Dandy under him. He's going into the Travers in top shape, and I like the idea of having four weeks between the Jim Dandy and Travers.

When you get to October, it's generally the right time of year to try 3-year-olds against older horses. That part of it we're not overly concerned about. The kind of races he ran in the Jim Dandy and Travers — we don't necessarily really need to improve.

He ran a dynamite race. We're delighted with his effort. He came up on the wrong end of the bob. This is a big race for him and he will probably go on.

She's so consistent that you should be able to draw a line through one race in three years.

He gets on six or seven horses a day and joked about a comeback. He asked to ride this one, and I have total confidence in him.

He's matured physically and mentally and handles the distance. He's the whole package.

I think there was something like $250 million worth of horses all out there working. We're all backed up trying to get in before the weather tomorrow.

It looks like we've got a promising group of young horses. We're optimistic, but it's a long road and we're looking forward to getting under way. We're looking to have some success and hopefully it'll lead to bigger things down the road.

It's going to be great. As long as the racing surfaces are good and the saddling environment is okay, I'll be happy.
