Anytime you win a series it feels good. Our kids have worked very hard and they're very deserving. It's nice to see them get rewarded.

The kids bounced back (Saturday) and did extremely well, and then played well again on Sunday. So, from an emotional standpoint, and a confidence standpoint, it helps a lot. The hard work they're putting in every single day, this certainly makes them feel better to feel like they're being rewarded.

When I was at Florida, I had told him I really liked him. And when he decided to leave Miami, he remembered that, and he called us.

There was a little extra bounce in their step. With the hard work they put in ever single day, it makes them feel better to know that they're being rewarded for hard their hard work. The most important thing in baseball is confidence. Obviously when you win, it gives you a little more.

You have to credit Chris because he's tried to work through it. He just has a hard time getting all his work in. We just want to see Chris be at 100 percent. Hopefully, he made a step forward for that this week and he'll be good enough to go this weekend.

It's a matter of having guys relax and not try to do so much. They just need to take a deep breath and try to make good contact. Sometimes, everyone is trying to deliver that blow, maybe trying to do too much instead of relaxing.

He will be limited. Where he might have been available twice in a weekend, he may only be available once. But having him once is better than not at all.

All the credit goes to our kids. What a great job after a rough first game, and it started on the mound. Evan Crawford was really good and he did an outstanding job of getting us seven innings. Justin Bristow and Jonathan Rasberry then provided big, clutch hits for us late.

We felt there was a need to get Democrats from western Maryland together. There was a feeling that state Democrats tend to ignore western Maryland.

What an outstanding pitching performance by Clarence Nicely. He came out and dominated the strike zone and really got us into the game. Clarence came into a very hostile South Alabama environment and pitched his tail off. That was a big-time performance by him.

Luke is capable of striking guys out and getting ground balls, and that's what he did for us.

Obviously, our record isn't very good, but we are working hard. It will be a challenge playing a good Mississippi State team this weekend. They have so many returning players, and they've got a lot of guys that have been together for a long time. That shows in the relaxed way they play.

It was way too many walks and way too many errors. When you're walking that many and making errors, you're not going to win. We had a productive day at the plate, but it doesn't matter how productive you are if you're giving up base runners.

He didn't give up a lot of hard contact. We didn't help him. The bottom line was walks and errors. Evan has been solid for us all year.
